Rupert Jee has become Broadway's most popular deli owner through his numerous appearances on Late Show with David Letterman. Owner of the Hello Deli at Broadway and West 53rd Street, adjacent to the Ed Sullivan Theater, Rupert delivered hot soup to cold studio audience members and has adorned the Late Show's Christmas tree with steaming meatballs.  His first appearance with Dave was on September 20, 1993.

Even More of NYC, July 2002
A Visit with Dave's pal, RUPERT JEE
Rupert and Mike start a laugh riot at the Hello Deli, around the corner from Dave's place, in New York City.  A close examination of Rupert's expression reveals that he's thrilled to meet Mike.  No kidding!

On the left, Pamela enjoys a cup of coffee and the heat and humidity of NYC in July in front of Rupert's Hello Deli.
Here are two rather out-of-focus pictures of the Today Show's Matt Lauer and Katie Couric taken by Mike at the program's outdoor set at Rockefeller Center.
